Owner Modifications

We believe that the Cumberland Camper is a great platform for both wilderness and campsite camping. It is tent camping in comfort.

Through the design process we considered a number of features that have not been incorporated - usually because we did not see them as adding sufficient value or functionality relative the the added cost. As the product matures, more features will likely be added. We may also provide instructions for owners who want to use their own DIY skills to add features not provided at the factory.

It is our hope that, among our Cumberland owners, a few will use the Cumberland and come up with their own improvements. We welcome that and will provide no cost support and advice where we can to help the modification succeed. Owner modification will not necessarily affect the warranty, but could. We will provide warranty advise and explanations about modifications on request.

The Cumberland design has been granted a number of patents. We will also advise when a modification interferes with a patent, though we expect that to be unusual.
